Equipment Care

The Troop has all necessary troop camping equipment including tents, patrol cook boxes, lanterns, stoves, and cookware.

After each campout, one of the Scouts from each tent may need to take home the tent to dry. When taking home a tent, tent foot print, tarp, or dining fly it is the Scout’s responsibility to:

  • Unfold it and let it air out.
  • If it is dirty then wipe down with a damp cloth and let air out.
  • If there is debris in the tent, remove it from the tent.
  • If there is anything wrong with any of the equipment report it to the Quartermaster.
  • Return all equipment to the Quartermaster at the next Troop meeting.

Note: If equipment is not aired out there is a good chance it will mold. The Troop equipment is high quality and expensive to replace, so we ask each Scout to do your best to care for it.
